These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") stipulate the conditions of use for the services (hereinafter referred to as "these Services") provided on this website by the Japanese Society of Advanced Orthodontics (hereinafter referred to as "the Society"). Registered users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") must use the Services in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Applicability)

These terms and conditions shall apply to all relationships between users and the Society regarding the use of this service.

Article 2 (User Registration)

Registration is completed when an applicant applies for registration using the method specified by the Society and the Society approves the application.
If the Society determines that the applicant meets any of the following criteria, the Society may not approve the application and shall bear no obligation to disclose the reasons therefor:
(1) If false information is reported when applying for registration;
(2) If the application is from an individual who has previously violated these terms and conditions; or
(3) If the Society otherwise determines that registration is inappropriate .

Article 3 (Prohibitions)

Users must not engage in the following acts when using the Service:

(1) acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals
(2) acts related to criminal activities
(3) acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of the Society's servers or networks
(4) acts that may interfere with the operation of the Society's services
(5) acts of collecting or storing personal information, etc., of other users
(6) acts of impersonating other users
(7) acts that directly or indirectly provide benefits to anti-social forces in relation to the Society's services
(8) other acts that the Society deems inappropriate

Article 4 (Suspension of provision of the Service, etc.)

The Society may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of the Service without prior notice to the User if it determines that any of the following events occur:
(1) When performing maintenance, inspection, or updating of the computer system related to the Service
(2) When it becomes difficult to provide the Service due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning strikes, fires, power outages, or natural disasters

The Society may restrict the User's use of all or part of the Service or cancel the User's registration without prior notice in the following cases:
(1) When any provision of these Terms is violated
(2) When false facts are found in the registered information
(3) When the Society otherwise determines that the use of the Service is inappropriate The
Society shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User as a result of the actions of the Society under this Article.

Article 6 (Changes to Service Content, etc.)

The Society reserves the right to change the content of this Service or to discontinue provision of this Service without notifying the user, and shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the user as a result thereof.

Article 7 (Changes to Terms of Use)

The Society reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying users if it deems it necessary.

Article 8 (Notice or Contact)

Any notification or communication between the user and the Society shall be made in accordance with the methods specified by the Society.

Article 9 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations) Users may not transfer or pledge their status under the Terms of Use or their rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without the prior written consent of the Society. Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in relation to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court with jurisdiction over the location of the Society's head office.

The Japanese Society of Advanced Orthodontics (hereinafter referred to as "our Society") has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of privacy information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "this Service").

Article 1 (Privacy Information)

Article 3 (Purpose of collecting and using personal information)

The Society collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

(6) To use information that can identify individuals, such as the mode of use, name, and address, in order to reject users who have violated the terms of use of the service, such as by delaying payment or causing damage to third parties, or who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes.
(7) To use information necessary for the Society to provide services to users, such as the content of inquiries and information regarding billing, as well as the user's service usage status and contact information, in order to respond to inquiries from users.
(8) To use purposes incidental to the above purposes of use.

Article 4 (Provision of personal information to third parties)

The Society will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations.

Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If the personal information held by the Society is incorrect, the user may request the Society to correct or delete the personal information in accordance with the procedures established by the Society.
If the Society receives a request from a user as described in the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it will correct or delete the personal information without delay and notify the user of this.

Article 7 (Suspension of use of personal information, etc.)

If the Society receives a request from an individual to suspend or delete (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") the use of personal information because the information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or because the information was obtained by illegal means, the Society will conduct the necessary investigation without delay, suspend the use of the personal information based on the results of the investigation, and notify the individual of the suspension of use, etc. However, if suspending the use of personal information would be costly or it would be difficult to suspend the use, etc. for other reasons, and if alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the individual can be taken, the Society will take these alternative measures.
